Welcome to the Sunshine Alumni Warriors Keencheefoonee Fundraising page!

This group is made up of former campers, all who have been fortunate enough to transition from camper to Camp Sunshine Volunteer! Each one of us was touched by Camp Sunshine in some way as a camper and have decided it is our time to give back. This group was formed a few years ago and has made such an impact already. Some of us have participated in this fundraiser before while others are joining for the first time. It truly is incredible to see everyone come together for a good cause.

Keencheefoonee is the name of the road that Camp Twin Lakes is on (which is where Camp Sunshine summer camp is held each year) and on Tuesday morning of both Teen and Junior Week the volunteers who participate in the fundraising get up very early to either walk a 2k or run a 5k to commemorate their efforts in raising money to support Camp Sunshine. This is the largest volunteer driven fundraising event and it’s hard to believe we are in our 40th year!

Even in these uncertain times, Camp Sunshine continues to enrich the lives of children with cancer. This year camp is back IN-PERSON and we are so excited to see the campers! Cancer does not discriminate and every child who is or has battled cancer deserves to have a ‘normal’ camp experience no matter what.
