This is my 37th year of summer camp at Camp Sunshine. I was a camper for 10 of those years. Describing why I keep coming back is hard to put into words. The connections that I have made here, with my co-counselors and the campers make Camp Sunshine more than just a community to me. It's family. 

Volunteering at Camp Sunshine also allows me to give back just a portion of what I gained myself as a camper. Camp Sunshine shaped who I am and I want to continue to do that for the next generation.

Our volunteer-led 5K at camp, the Keencheefoonee Road Race, is a vehicle for us to raise the funds for our campers to attend a week of summer camp at Camp Sunshine at no cost to the family. 

Please join me in helping send more kids with cancer to a week of summer camp at Camp Sunshine. Every kid deserves a chance to just be a regular kid for a week, and to become a part of this incredible extended family that has changed and enriched my life in so many ways.
