Forever Let the Sun Shine On - 40 Years of Camp and We're Back in Person!

It’s time for Camp Sunshine again! This year will be my 22nd summer of camp. I spent 11 summers as a camper, and this year will be my 11th as a volunteer. This year means more than ever, as I survived a second cancer diagnosis in December of 2020. Camp Sunshine has been the silver lining of childhood cancer for more than 20 years, and the incredible community has been there for me through my second diagnosis as well.
The Georgia Gold lyrics mean more than ever this year: I'll keep you deep inside my heart, so I never feel alone. Even though we haven't been together in person out at camp for 2 years and camp might look a little different this year, the magic of Camp is still the same!
There is no doubt that this summer will be unlike the past 39 years of camp. However, there is so much that remains the same. We will still
- host hundreds of kids for two weeks with daily camp schedules of activities and events
- have a loyal team of more than 100 volunteers leading the virtual camp activities
- celebrate the traditions that are at the heart of the Camp Sunshine experience
- need our community to come together to support our campers to make it all possible
