Camp Sunshine, a little bit of heaven here on earth. A second home, a place where I am not the only kid with cancer, where I am accepted, challenged and grow.  This is how our campers talk about Camp Sunshine, and for the last 2 years were only able to attend Camp Sunshine virtually.  WE'RE BACK IN PERSON!!!

While at camp, over 150 volunteers support our campers to try new things, make new friends, visit with old friends, to be kids, not patients. Even if undergoing treatment, we have an amazing medical staff and facilities at camp to meet any challenge. we create memories and friendships that last a lifetime for all, and by being at camp and being a kid, we have found that our campers respond better to their treatment!!

Camp Sunshine is an amazing place, one that impacts anyone who comes. Where you witness campers who are compassionate, accepting, and do things that defy their condition. I have learned that it's not whether your glass is half empty or half full, I am just grateful to have a glass!!! This is why I have been involved since 1987. 

All of this is done at no cost for the campers and their families. Each summer the volunteers help to raise funds via the Keenchefoonee Road Race. The cost to send 1 camper to a week of Camp Sunshine is $800.
