Camp Sunshine might be virtual but I am still doing my part to help fundraise for the annual Keencheefoonee Road Race! AND I'm ACTUALLY GOING TO RACE THIS YEAR. Well, sort of. The race is virtual so I'm just going to walk the 5k here in Raleigh. BUT I AM GOING TO WALK THE WHOLE 5k!
I have set a pretty ambitious goal for myself, but I figured if I was going to actually walk to the 5k I should get some funds for it. I don't have any new books out or anything to really give you an incentive to donate this year, but I will send everyone who donates a short video to thank you. Or I'll send you a signed bookplate.

Friends! I am ACTUALLY WALKING!
Friends, you might have seen on my Facebook page, I am ACTUALLY walking the Keencheefoonee Road Race this year! I've been walking around my neighborhood for a few weeks and decided to use this as a great reason to KEEP IT UP!
While Camp Sunshine will be virtual once again this year, it's important to me that we are able to bring Camp into the homes of every child and teenager that needs it. And I can speak on behalf of a lot of them, it is very needed. Even in a worldwide pandemic, kids and teens are still diagnosed with cancer and need the respite that Camp Sunshine can bring even virtually! Help us GO THE DISTANCE and send camp to kids!
In today's walking progress, I only walked 2.15 miles. I had hoped to do 2.5 but I ran out of time and needed to get back home before E started virtual classes today. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get in that 2.5!
Stay tuned for more updates,
