Welcome to My Fundraising Page!

On the first day of 5th grade, my life was forever changed. I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, Juvenile Pilocytic Strocytoma (JPA), at the age of 10. I underwent surgery to remove part of the tumor and chemotherapy. After a year and a half, I went into remission. While I was on treatment, my child life specialist told my parents about Camp Sunshine. I've never been more thankful for my parents making me go to a summer camp. My life hasn't been the same since.
Camp Sunshine is a camp for kids with cancer. I was 11 years old when I first started going to camp. It was so cool to meet other kids who knew and felt exactly what I went through. The people at Camp Sunshine impacted my life in numerous ways and I began to volunteer after I graduated college. I have had the opportunity to volunteer every year and give back to the camp that changed my life as a kid.
Cancer is a horrible thing, but Camp Sunshine gives kids, like me, a chance to be themselves and enjoy a fun week that they will never forget. Please help me to give these kids this opportunity by helping donate to Camp Sunshine and send kids to camp this summer!
